Victoria Rhodes 5th- man gets kicked off flight due to weight

on a united flight a man was asked to leave the plane because he was to heavy. the initial aircraft they would have used got switched last minute and so did the passenger sitting next to him initially. a supervisor came onto the plane and asked him to leave because they could not accommodate the flight to his "condition." he got off the flight and had to wait 6 hours to board another one.

i understand how it would have been difficult to sit next to someone who weighs 385 for an entire plane ride. however it was taken to an extreme when they kicked him off the plane. I'm sure it could have been handled a different way but they jumped to extremes just to get the flight going since it was already late. this is similar to rosa parks being kicked off the bus because the majority of the people on it wanted her to leave except this wasn't due to race tensions.
