Recently Tesla Motors announced that they were recalling 2,700 of their SUVs because tests demonstrated that there were problems concerning the third row seats. Apparently, the test showed that the recliner in the seats slipped. Tesla is now remaking the third row seats and announced they should be done within 5 weeks. Futuris SA is the company that manufactures the back seats, so Tesla is making them pay for the reparations. This is not the first time this has happened to Tesla, because in November they recalled 90,000 Model S sedans for safety measures concerning the seat belts.

I think it's interesting that this is not the first time this has happened to Tesla, because I find myself often saying "this is not the first time this has happened" in current events blogs which reminds me of the beginning of the year when Ms. Countryman told us that history repeats itself. I think it is good that Tesla is making safety cautionary measures, even though they aren't the ones paying for it. When François Issac de Rivas made the first car which was fueled by hydrogen, it definately did not have third row seats. We've come a long way! Fitting a lot of people in a car isn't exactly a necessity but it certainly comes in handy, especially for families.

We have come quite a long way since cars first came into use. It is amazing to think that we can have cars now that do not even have to run on gas.
