Teresita Lopez 3rd $40M given to a domestic violence survivor

Maria Escamilla has reported a 5hr violence from her ex-boyfriend. Even tho she doesn't really care about the money given to her for her medical bills she does want to make a statement in the world. “If this stops one perpetrator from hurting one victim, it was worth it for me.” This woman was violated in different ways and was  stabbed in many places. She doesn't really want the money but what she really wants us to make justice. Her ex-boyfriend who didn't show any pity for her  has been  sentence to 28 years in jail.  Domestic violence has been viewed as a "Normal "experience/activity in marriage.
