Court denies Kesha claims by M'Lynn Musgrove

After realizing that she wouldn't be allowed to leave sony records under her sexually, physically, and emotionally abusive producer Dr. Like, famous singer Kesha took her case to court. This has been trending on social media as #freekesha. She has gained millions of fan's voices on her side, however, recently a New York judge threw out Kesha's appeal.  She was also denied charge of hate crime (the judge didn't see it as a gender-motivated rape) (lmao)
I think this is insane! Especially as a human that would like to possibly work with sony music one day, I find this horrific. This displays the struggles women go through in the music industry. We are sexualized and taken advantage of because we are seen as weak to powerful men. Ask me if I am mad! (I am). I hope that by the time I get more involved with the industry, the feminist movement has impacted situations like this and has made them more uncommon.

  1. Why can't women ever win? She us clearly distraught after this drama and only wants out of her contract.. Nothing more

  2. I agree, it's ridiculous and sad. I can only imagine how discouraged Kesha must feel, as her trauma has continually been denied its significance.
