Summary: Once again when someone successful does something that some parts of society thinks is wrong, they make a HUGE problem out of it. As most of the world chimed into Super Bowl 50 this past weekend, we all saw or heard about the ever so famous Halftime performances. This year Coldplay was performing then word got out that Beyonce and Bruno Mars were being featured as well. Aside from that the talk and outrage is with Beyonce's performance. Rudy Giuliani and many others viewed her performance as a reference to the Black Panther Panther Party, a Salute to the Black Lives Matter and a salute to Malcolm X. From B's dancers and her being dressed in all black from head to toe, to after the halftime performance when her dancers held up a sign with the words "Justice 4 Mario Woods" and then later being posted on the Black Lives Matter twitter page. Those who don't know Mario Woods was a black male who was shot and killed in San Francisco by police officers on Dec. 2 after he had refused to put down his 8-inch knife he was carrying. Also during Beyonce's part in the halftime performance she called out "OK ladies, lets get in formation" and shortly after her dancers formed a X which led people to believe that was a salute to Malcolm X. What then sparked anger was when Beyonce and her dancers stopped and held their fists up in the air (like the Black Lives Matter people do), and then after her performance was escorted by police officers who in the words of Rudy Giuliani "was ridiculous because she used her platform to attack police officers, who are the people who protect her."
Synthesis: Overall I can see why Beyonce used the 50th Super Bowl to also honor the 50th year anniversary of the 1966 Black Panther Party. Her dancers were indeed dressed in as the people would say "Black Panther Chic" while she was in a outfit that was in resemblance to the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson's ensembles. I myself didn't find anything wrong with her part in the performance and if she honored her part of her ethnicity then so be it. It was indeed a kick butt performance and those who have anger against it will have anger against. While the people who enjoyed it like me will continue to remember it as the performance of this year.

I agree with you. I thought her performance was amazing and completely and utterly awesome. I didn't see and issue with it.
