3-D Printers- Harmful to Health? By Isabella Montague

A new study suggests that 3-D printers could be hurting one's health. While the printing is taking place, tiny pieces become airborne and can be ingested by whoever is using the printer. While many of the particles are harmless plastic, some are potentially dangerous.

Honestly this doesn't seem like a big deal. If people are okay with carrying around a small device with radio frequency energy, they can use a printer that releases small particles. 3-D printers seem like an awesome invention, but I don't really remember them being released or announced or anything. They just sort of appeared. Either way, it is an invention that is sure to progress and be very beneficial. When the printing press was invented in 1440 by Johannesburg Gutenberg, I wonder if he thought his invention would go this far. There are amazing things we can do, even if many of them are slightly poisonous

  1. Angelique Flores (flex)- I agree with you Isabella. This is yet another technological break through that is already beneficial. With saving the lives of dogs who were born with no legs, to who knows with a little work maybe it can even be used to make human prosthetics.
