Heal wounds with some bubbly // Kai Jones 1st period

This article describes how the use of a fizzing chemical mixture can help heal deep cuts and wounds. Blood can clot easily for small injuries. This fizzy mixture could be useful on the battle field and after car accidents.Clot promoting drugs exist already, the problem is getting them into the wound. The bubbles help the clotting chemicals get to the wound by allowing it to flow upstream against the blood stream. Scientist created a chemical powder keg that causes tiny explosions when it reaches a wound. They make tiny carbon dioxide bubbles and blast the drug in all directions.

This is certainly a stride in wound healing technology. It would've come in handy in the many wars the U.S has fought in. If the soldiers at Valley forge had this stuff back in the day, they wouldn't have left bloody footprints in the snow during the American Revolution. This new idea goes right along side neosporin and the realization that germs make people sick.

This is so cool! I hope that we can end up using this in our military, and that it will also be available for at home use. If this is safe for people, this could be such a great breakthrough!

  2. I agree. I think this is awesome and we end up using it. This is the definition of innovation.
