Ebola and Nina Pham- Raliegh Jones

Last October at a Texas hospital, critical care nurse Nina Pham got Ebola and was being treated for it.  The hospital in which Pham was being taken care of, Texas Health Presbyterian, refused to make her name or condition public. But on October 4th, the hospital released the statement "Nina Pham is in good condition," . Pham says that the statement was not only an invasion of privacy, but a lie. At the time that the statement was released, Pham was in a life-threatening condition and needed to be moved to a different hospital. She believes the false statement was made to make the hospital look good, and is now filing a lawsuit.

It is never ok to share someones personal information or anything for your personal benefit. And that's what this hospital seems like it did. And when somebody has their life threatened, you shouldn't be like,"Guess what!! THIS PERSON HAS EBOLA!!,"...like, no. It is not ok and you shouldn't do that. I bet who ever made that decision wouldn't want it done to them. Somebody's near death experience shouldn't be falsely displayed to promote you. But who ever had the bright idea is probably mad at themselves...they are probably like," now why in my right mind would I do this...now this person is suing the company because of me not thinking."
Now there is a bunch of people who are like, "man she trippn, she need to chill and be glad she alive..." when in all reality, she has the right to speak and get mad. Because that is her personal life and nobody should but it on display. But needless to say, she did not deserve what she went through.

  1. I think Pham isn't taking the blame completely. While she did suffer, she signed consents to care for Duncan and for her information regarding her health status and the wellbeing of her pet to be released to the public. -Elizabeth Muscari pd6

  2. I think that Pham did the right thing. She seems to be wanting attention from the world, and making good use of it. I hope this case doesn't overshadow the fact that there are still people affected and killed by Ebola in other countries.
