Florida Mom Kills Children by: Zaria Chambers 5th period

The image the police give of a mother standing outside of her house with a knife in her hand was such a horrific sight but it didn't even compare to what authorities saw inside the house. On Friday evening the police responded to a call and found three children unresponsive. A six year and seven year old both died and the five month year old baby was seriously injured. Authorities say that the woman didn't comply when they asked her to drop the knife so they shot several "less lethal" bean bags at her and later took her into custody. The women is being charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. She is currently being held in jail with no bond. 

This is absolutely horrific. How could someone do this to such innocent children. I hope that this women gets what she deserves because what she did is absolutely terrible.

    What would drive a mother to kill her own children? I suppose insanity is a possibility in this case.

    It is highly possibly that there was a mental issue in this situation. It is nice that the police did not just shoot her down so now they can figure out what caused it and hopefully the family can find closure.

    Even if this is a strong case of a very serious mental issue, how did she go on for that long without killing them before? It seems very out of place, since she already has kids 6 and 7. It's extremely scary how someone can do that to any human being, let alone their young children. Rest in peace, the three innocent children.

    I agree, she must have had some sort of mental issue going on, which is no excuse for anything. I wonder how someone with mental issues could be allowed to have children, let alone, left to take care of them? This is just horrific.
