Oklahoma Deputies Find Bodies & Cars in Lake- Brandi McLeain 1st Period

Oklahoma Deputies find two anachronistic cars covered in mud and pull out about six bodies that disappeared in the '70s. Four have been identified. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro contained 16 year old Jimmy Williams and 18 year olds Leah Johnson and Thomas Rios. All who went missing in 1970. The older car, a '50s Chevrolet contained Debbie McManamman's grandfather (she is now 26). The police were not originally looking for the cars this morning, but the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Sonar Equipment being used to find something else, found the cars deep in the lake.

I think this story is incredible because for 30+ years families have been wondering where their loved ones were. Some probably lost hope after all this time, but they got it back. Knowing where their loved ones were has brought them closure and they can now move onfrom this.

  2. This is a very powerful story. I'm very glad that these families finally found out after 30+ years where their loved ones were.

  3. If I were one of those cops, it would have freaked me out to find two cars with 6 dead bodies in them. It just goes to show that anything could happen anywhere. I bet those families are happy to have closure though.
