Summary~
In took many hours to set a man free from quicksand, then had to withstand the winter storm before being rescued. His leg was buried up to his knee and he couldn’t set himself free. The man was suffering from hypothermia and extreme injuries. The man had been exposed to water for 10 hours and it took several more hours to free his leg. Winter storms in the area brought 4 inches of snow so the rangers had a more difficult time trying to free his leg.

A person can get stuck in quicksand but they cannot sink below the surface. But struggling leads to drowning.
This was a really interesting article because I’ve never really heard of something similar that happened before. I am glad the man is ok and is now being directed to safety.I hope that no other person has to endure quicksand.
