Leslie Vasquez- Non- U.S. Citizens Possibly Voting in Texas

On Monday, January 28, conservatives issued a state report on unusual voting patterns in Texas. In this report, they point out that some people who voted were either not eligible, did not have a driver´s license, or were not even citizens in the first place. However, some officials claim that the results might be misleading due to the possibility that some residents might have gotten citizenship after voting. As a result, there is confusion in the results. Both parties, Democrats and Republicans, want a secure voting rule so that elections go the way they are supposed to.

Voting is a right that should be practiced. We are knowledgeable of the right to vote be taken away from minority groups, like black people and women. In this case, the results of non- U.S. citizens voting can be concerning. I would like a more secure voting foundation so that there does not have to be recounts of votes or ignoring important voting patterns.
