I know it maybe weird to ask " how can love effect our health? " and if its even possible well, doctors have discovered that love can offer important protections. In fact, a persons capacity to love can be a matter of life and death, it might sound crazy but in recent studies doctors have found that heart patients who are divorced, separated, widowed or single have a higher chance of dying than married couples and married couples have a lower risk of developing a heart disease and surviving a heart attack. In the very beginning of a relationship and early stages of love your adrenaline makes your heart beat faster so whenever you just the think about the person you have some sort of affections for or whenever they around your pulse races a bit faster than usual. Later, though in a relationship when the intense feeling go away a deep bond of love takes over and a sense of wellbeing and security is created. Its also shown that long-term lovers can grow so close that there hearts beat in sync and that if one of them is to go through pain, a simple act of just holding the others hand could synchronize the others breathing and make the discomfort go away.
I'm sure everyone has heard the phrase " I'm heartbroken" or " he/she broke my heart", well turns out it's an actual thing. Intense grief after loosing a loved one can lead to an actual broken heart. It might sound hard to believe but, when couples who have been together for so long die within weeks or hours of one another doctors have sometimes blame " broken heart syndrome" which causes the heart to change its form of shape in response to the extreme stress or grief. Who would have ever known that your health had anything to do with your love life, hopefully this opens peoples eyes to never settle for "ok" in the long run so be careful who you give it to because it isn't just one pump, it simply hold our emotional lives and feelings.
