"Emergency spelled W-A-L-L" An interpretation of BBC article by Adelaide Willert

"Trump to declare emergency over Mexico border wall"

The BBC article, published February 15, 2019, discusses Donald Trump's decision to declare a national emergency in order to gain the funds for his wall on the Mexican-American border. Within the United States, there are many, many opinions on the wall, as there should be, because it is a (very) multi-faceted discussion/decision.

When it comes to the wall, I personally believe that we should not build it. It would push the United States into isolationism, politically, and possibly economically. There are too many factors involved to declare a national emergency over this. There are so many questions that need to be asked, and not all of the answers can be known by one man.

  1. The wall is so unnecessary and all together a waste of time, Trump needs to move on. - Madison Malonson

  2. This is an abuse of executive power. I'm glad he's no longer hurting federal employees, but this is ridiculous.
