In an article published by the New York Times on February 8 2019, Christine Hauser writes on the developments in the conviction and sentencing of Zephen Xaver, who was charged with killing 5 women in a Florida bank shooting last month. A state attorney, Brian Haas, has said that he will seek the ultimate punishment for Xaver, meaning the death penalty. Xaver was charged with 5 counts of first degree pre-meditated murder in January, and is set to be formally arraigned on February 25. This sort of gun violence could be considered similar to the gang violence of the early 20th century. The motive of this incident is unknown, but the murder was definitely pre medititated.
Its sad the gun violence continues to be a problem and it really needs to be fixed. Also i agree that what he did was awful however i personally think that the death penalty should not be an option.
ReplyDeleteWe need to fix gun violence. This problem in our country has gotten too far out of hand and needs to be stopped now.
