Daniela Rodriguez - Pilot in California plane crash was carrying fake police badge, officials say

A twin-engine plane crashed into a Yorba Linda home in southern California today, rattling the neighborhood. Allegedly, the pilot was wearing a fake police badge as the aircraft fell apart in the sky and plummeted into the suburban neighborhood. It ended up killing four other people besides the pilot, injuring three, and leaving debris across four blocks. This is very similar to other plane crashes, like the 1978 collision of a private aircraft with North Park in San Diego

It turns out, my friend Kristina Collias lives in the same neighborhood as the plane crash, explaining on social media how it was a two-minute walk from her house. It's scary when an event like this could affect those close to you because, at times, it feels like we're isolated in a bubble.
