Thousands of women filed into the Sam Boyd Stadium on Sunday. This was the official anniversary of the women's march last year in Washington, and was largely focused on activism to generate concrete action at the ballot box. These women took the streets in resistance to our president because they feel that Trump will violate women's rights. The marches have taken place in Las Vegas, Washington, Seattle, Miami and many other cities. These people in this organization promote women taking a place in voting.
It is good that these women feel like they can help our country by standing up for what they believe in. I hope that these marches don't get out of hand and they don't get violent.
I am glad that these women are confident and headstrong. Its important for people to get out there, risk their lives, and fight for what they personally believe is right.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion. I love that women are standing up for what they believe in, however you would never want it to get out of hand.
ReplyDeleteI think with women being more vocal about their rights and concerns is moving equality in a positive direction in bringing forth awareness.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many ways to relate the woman's march to history. What do you think?
