Texas Mass Shooting
On October 5, 2017 as many as 26 people were killed in a church in Sutherland springs, Texas.
Half of the victims were children and even babies. The killer was a white man from Houston, Texas who was taken down shortly after his spree. After the shooting, many Americans felt we needed more gun control laws. As this issue continues to spread throughout our country; officials are referring to this as a “tragedy” in which there can be no certain resolvememt. This has created a controversy over gun laws, as there is no way to predict. This man, attended church, like a normal citizen, and once again; no one expected a thing. Because of this, most were not prepared as there were no “warnings”. This raises the question of how to prevent this, and this widespread issues is continuing to make its way into the minds of citizens, as this is the everyday life people must live in. As President Trump awaits to address this situation; many are continuing to wish for change.

I think that gun laws can really help prevent horrible incidents like this. Mass shootings, school shootings, and overall gun violence and accidents can be prevented if guns are taken away from people who are mentally ill or have violent tendencies.
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrible tragedy that happened in our state and it’s still unclear what his motives were
