Texas gunman killed his grandmother-in-law and 25 others- Taylor Knighton

On the countryside of Sutherland Springs, Texas, nearly 4% of the town's population was killed inside a small church on Sunday. When a gunman, Devin Patrick Kelley, opened fire during the service, more than two dozen members of the church died. Half of them were children, the youngest being only 17-months-old. 26-year-old, Devin Patrick Henry came armed with 3 guns, a ballistic vest, and a skeleton mask to carry out his attack. There was a domestic situation going on within this family.Kelley's mother-in-law attended the church but was not there during the massacre, received threating texts from the gunman early that morning. Later, after the shooting, the gunman was killed.

This is one of many shootings in the U.S and it is unacceptable. People should feel safe in this country, especially in a church. A church is supposed to be a place of worship, coming together and a safe place to be vulnerable and be with God. For someone to go into that safe place and kill is just terrible and it breaks my heart into pieces knowing that someone would do this. Gun control needs to be enforced because this type of massacre CANNOT happen again. Gun laws also need to be limited.

  1. It breaks my heart that things like this keep happening every day. And you're right, the fact that this happened in a church is disgusting; that's supposed to be a safe place for people. I can't believe that over half the fatalities were children. Gun control lenience is out of hand, and I just want to know how long this is going to go on before someone does something about it.
