Meek Mill takes another L: Heaven-Leigh Pettis

 Meek Mill Sentenced to 2 to 4 years in State Prison

     Meek Mill, a rapper from Philadelphia, went through a lot in 2015 with his rap beef with Drake in which he got bodied, Nicki Manaj left him after 2 years in 2017 and now, he has been sentenced to 2 years minimum in the state prison of Philadelphia. In August, he was charged with reckless endangerment in New York City and pledged guilty to reckless driving and before that, in March, he was charged with misdemeanor assault after an altercation with employees at St. Louis International Airport. Both of these charges have been dropped but because of the fact that the judge has been working with him for awhile, the judge counted it as a violation of parole. Meek Mill was previously in jail in 2008 for 8 months and on probation because he was convicted for gun and gun charges. He also was placed under 90 days of house arrest for violating probation due to unapproved travel. 

   I feel like this represents the slave mentality that some black people still have. Meek Mill has been a successful rapper but if he keeps throwing away his life by making mistakes like this then he might as well give up on his career. I feel like one he got a taste of success he thought he couldn't be touched. Good job, Meek Mill! You took another "L."
