Harry's Berries are uncommon Gaviota and Seascape strawberries grown in southern California. These strawberries are picked every five days in comparision to three for commercially grown berries. The Gean's who own the farm have been a family owned business for over fifty years. The minimized their land therefore minimizing their crop output and focused on local markets and businesses to sell to. Harrys provides locally grown strawberries at cost expenses for the benefit of ripe, flavorful berries.

This article was written to inform the viewer of tradition and sacrifice in American culture valued through the love of family and food. This corresponds to Anson Mills Carolina Gold Rice and its upbringing through cherished tradition.

  1. The Gean's must be very dedicated to continue to run this business for so long. What is the process for growing their strawberries?

  3. It is so great that small businesses are still thriving in such a commercial farming era. Family owned companies really make me happy because I think it brings America back to its simple roots.
