A woman from Tampa, Florida got a really bad infection in her left big toe. She had to spend a whole week in the hospital recovering after her surgery. It is possible that her infection arose because of a pedicure that she had had just a day and a half prior to the surgery. Part of her foot had turned black and she had also experienced extreme fatigue. The employees at the salon will not release information saying if they caused the infection or not.
This really scares me because I love getting pedicures, and it isn’t comforting knowing that not all salons are trustworthy. I think this article reminds people to make sure that the place they get their nails done at should be clean and have a consistent nice quality. Their health should never be jeopardized by their beauty.
That is actually so weird, I also love getting pedicures and if something so basic can cause infection, then that is really sad.
