Fast moving wildfires raged across NorthernCalifornia on Monday, killing at least 10 people, sending over 100 people to hospitals, and destroying more than 1500 buildings in one of the most destructive fire emergencies in the states history. Firefighters were battling fires in 8 counties. In Santa Rosa, the fire hit a Hilton hotel, the Journey's End Retirement community, a trailer park. Pieces of ash fell like snowflakes, and white smoke covered the sun over the cities. The property damage, already among the worst seen in a fire in California, was expected to increase.
This is very devastating, and I wish there was a way to prevent natural disasters like these. It is so sad that so many people were effected by this event, and I hope the families of the people effected are ok. Even though fires happen all the time in California , it is still devastating that so many people were killed or injured,. It is also devastating the buildings that people have worked so hard on were ruined.

I wrote about the same topic and I feel like there NEEDS to be a solution to such disasters or the world will fall apart. It's our home and we need to protect it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so devastating. I agree, there has to be a way to help with these natural disasters. I know you cant stop them from coming, but the way we prepare and react could be different. I pray for all those affected.
