Uganda's Parliament is bout that life: Heaven-Leigh Pettis

Brawl breaks out between lawmakers in Uganda

Uganda's Parliament got into a heated debate which later led into a huge brawl. Parliamentarians threw chairs, shoes, and micro phones, whatever was closest to them. The fight revealed who supported Yoweri Museveni and who didn't. Museveni was trying to extend his rule though he had already been ruling for 31 years and he's 73 years old. Uganda's Constitution states that no one over 75 years old can rule and some of the parliamentarians wanted to introduce a bill that would change that law.
With having the rule of not having any rulers over 75 years old, it would've prevented Museveni from running for president, again. This new bill has led to many protest in Uganda and later on, the fistfight in the parliament meeting. Museveni is among many African leaders you keep trying to change laws according to them or keep trying to find a loophole in order to stay in control of their country. The brawl was recording and broadcasted for everyone to see but has since been banned because they felt that the video promoted violent culture and hatred. The video also offended a small audience due to the fact that there was children watching as well.
The brawl in Uganda looked like something you'd see on world-star. Women and men were torn from their blazers and dresses. Some people cried and wailed. I think it's crazy that things got as heated as it did on the topic of whether or not the age limit of the presidents would be extended. Is Museveni that bad of a president? The link for the video is below and it has a little commentary. Enjoy!
