Hurricane Ophelia in Ireland
http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/15/europe/hurricane-ophelia/index.html

Ireland is gearing up to face Hurricane Ophelia this week and has already closed schools, planned for power outages, and are preparing for flooding. This hurricane has travelled farthest east than any hurricane in the Atlantic has reached. Fortunately, the hurricane has weakened to a category 2 hurricane, but it still has winds of 105 miles per hour. It is heading toward Ireland and United Kingdom and will reach Ireland on Monday morning. Hurricane Ophelia is also causing large and destructive waves on the coast. Meteorologists say that it is strange to see a hurricane in this chilly area. The most damaging factor of the hurricane is said to be the winds which will reach a speed of 80 miles per hour. The coast of Portugal and Spain are also going to have 50 mph winds. The hurricane is bringing up warm air from Spain, which will make Ireland and United Kingdom unusually warm.
This article is important to educate the readers about the hurricane in Ireland and UK, and after the damage is done we will all know to help and donate to these countries to help those affected by Ophelia. This event will affect the US's history because we are allies with these two countries, and we will help them recover. This is also significant in time because it is now the fourth hurricane in the past three weeks.

  1. The fact that it is the fourth hurricane in the past three weeks is insane. There should be researchers that need to figure out what is causing the hurricanes and we need to take actions so we can prevent more.
