Wildfires in California are growing and growing, and so is the Death toll. It has reached 23 now and hundreds of people are still missing. The fires have so far destroyed 170,000 acres of homes and bulldogs and life as the people knew it. Fire fighters and prisoners, who are working for 1 dollar an hour , have been working nonstop, sometimes for 80 hours straight. However , the fires are still slreading. The fires supposedly started with down power line and exploding transformers.
This is so sad. I believe that first of all , we need to help the people in California as much as we can as citizens. This could have been any of us and just because we are not directly in it we still need to react as if we were. This article was written to inform us about the tragedy happening in one of our beloved states. Also to inform us about the horror that the firefighters AND prisoners are enduring currently. This is an very important article because it is destroying and taking lives every second and those things are not easily repaired. This is important to US HISTORY because we never know what could happen in these situations.
It could lead to another wildfire of 1810 and that would be horrendous.
