After a series of debates, arguments and intense commentary, President Donald Trump has finally released JFK assassination files. The records consist of 2,891 files, about 5 million pages and intimate details about his relationship with Marilyn Monroe. The documents have been made public today to avoid any possible speed bumps or blockage in the system that prohibits the release. The President believes that there is no harm in releasing these documents since it has less than 1% of information regarding the CIA and their procedures and standards and is proud to have accomplished sharing this information with the public. Despite the fact that some agents had encouraged that some of these files remained private, Trump responded, "The American public expects -- and deserves -- its Government to provide as much access as possible to the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records (records) so that the people may finally be fully informed about all aspects of this pivotal event, I have no choice --today -- but to accept those redactions rather than allow potentially irreversible harm to our nation's security," I personally have no objection to these files being released as long as it remains just, constitutional and respectful to agencies such as the CIA and FBI.

I think that it's interesting to the extent of learning more on the JFK case, but I also think that it's questionable that our president is releasing such highly coveted documents that used to be top secret
ReplyDeleteI think the American people should know the basics of the investigation into JFK's assasination. However, it concerns me that our president released previously top secret information.
