Alycesandra Martinez - Puerto rico
Since Maria hit Puerto Rico almost a month ago, they have been struggling to recover from the damage that was made. People have very few resources such as food,aid,etc and if they do its very scarce. One thing that is hard to find is water. (Drinking water) Hundreds of people have died from bacterial infections. In some parts of the island don`t even have water, and people are scared to drink. The water that people have been drinking has been pumped by water authorities from a hazardous waste site. People have been drinking this water because they have no other option. This is so horrible, innocent people are drinking horrible water and they need help and nobody is giving them the help they need.
The president of the United States agrees with the federal government and blame the local distribution in Puerto Rico. Our military has been over there serving food and trying to help any way they can. Donald Trump states that its not our problem and that the military shouldnt be doing that because its not their job! He states they have plenty of resources and that Puerto Rico local distribution should help. I think everyone in Puerto Rico is helping all they can to get through this disaster and America is just a little more help they can use.

The things words he speaks are very off-puttting, I don't know is he realizes this, but it's going to create more problems.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe that a month later, Puerto Rico is still having water issues. That is so sad. I also agree that America is another form of aid for Puerto Rico.
ReplyDeletePuerto Rico is facing major struggles, and it is horrible to hear that drinking water, being such a necessity, is hard to come by.
