Wolfgang Hunter-Son of Equatorial Guinea leader sentenced for embezzlement

In France, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue was sentenced to three years of prison for stealing millions of dollars out of the pockets of the citizens of Equatorial Guinea last Friday. What makes the situation even worse is that he had spent the millions of dollars in France, living lavishly: buying over a dozen expensive vehicles, and spending without regret at a high art auction.
The case definitely shows the susceptibility of smaller, less-developed countries; the former-Spanish colony has an economy mainly based out of subsistence farming. Stealing money out of the pockets of the less fortunate for personal gain is absolutely disgusting; it's quite sad to see that this was the vice president of a country.
