Firefighters Killed in Building Collapse- Emma Lochabay

More than twenty firefighters were killed in Tehran as they were putting out the fire because the building collapsed. The city's mayor reported to an Iranian TV channel that there is an investigation to why the building was burning in the first place. It was the Plasco building that was up in flames that called 20-30 firefighters to the scene and left about 70 others that injured or dead on January 19th, 2017.

This article was published by CNN, a popular and reliable news source that i cant count on to not have any bias in the articles. This article was published quickly after the event so it may lack in detail. Before reading this article, I have not heard of this event. This could synthesize to 9/11 to when the twin towers in New York City collapsed after planes struck them and in attempt to save the people in the building, many firefighters died as the building collapsed.

  1. Also before reading your summary I had not heard of this event. Major events like this should be more largely publicized so that people can be aware of what is going on outside of America.

  2. This is terrible! We really do need to find out the cause of this burning building before it is too late and it happens again. We do not want any more Firemen to loose their lives.
