Kamiyah Mobley had a relatively normal life, up until a few months ago when she began suspecting she had been abducted as an infant. A DNA test soon confirmed her fears. Gloria Williams was in fact not her mother, but the woman who disguised herself as a nurse and snuck into a new mothers room, spoke to her, and then walked out with her baby. Kaliyah did graduate from high school, although she was registered under a different name and through fake documents. After 18 long years, Mobley has finally been reunited with her biological family. It was truly an emotional experience for all parties involved.
In this day and age, negativity and news go hand in hand. It's good to see a more uplifting story about a family being reunited instead of another eye-roller about Donald Trump and his latest antics. This article was written on January 14th, 2017 by Ray Sanchez, a reporter at CNN. It not only shows positive things still happen in the world, but that advancing technology can aid in finding abducted children and missing people. Although this technology has been around for a few years now, a century ago it wasn't. If a child was abducted, often the parents would never gain contact with their child again. Thanks to science an innovation, the world has become a better and safer place for parents and children alike.

I can't even imagine how the girl is feeling, that her thought to be mother is actually her kidnapper and all these years she has been living with her.
ReplyDeleteI heard about this on the news. Horrible story and i cant imagine recovering from such a traumatic event like that.
