School districts taking extra precautions amid clown threats -Chris Willis's Blog

Well, apparently, today October 3rd and a few other days, sightings of a bunch of clowns have been causing threats online and around schools. They attacked a woman, hung balloons on someone's car, screamed down a sidewalk, and posted some odd looking pictures. Schools around Dallas went on lock down for precautions of these.. jokes. An officer said they will look more into this, and they assume that these shenanigans would most likely after Halloween.

Uh, why in the world would clowns across the nation try to scare children, adults- everyone for their own sense of humor? Secondly, some students, here  at Booker T. were literally posting things on social media to actually try to bring the clowns over here. W h y. But on a serious note, this is SERIOUS and people shouldn't be joking around about this. And this has been happening across the nation for a month now. Wayyyy before October even came around, sightings of these jokers were recorded. Hopefully this "joke" will be ended soon.

  1. I agree that the situation is not a joking matter and that the interaction of it through social media fuels the situation. I suspect that the clown events will continue to increase up until Halloween, and hopefully not lead up to something drastic. I feel a sense of safety knowing that the schools are taking necessary precautions.
