Payton Climer

This article was about a shooting in a South Carolina elemetary school where one student and teacher were injured and Jacob Hall, 6 years old, was killed. In this insident a teen came to school and shot in the playground, and His case is being heard in court. This is heart breaking to here that yet another as of school shootings has occurred. School is a place where kid learn and grow, and they should not be in danger or have fear. Cases like this make me angry that someone even has the idea of doing such a thing. This article was written by Steve Almasy and Carma Hassan, CNN staff. They do not show any baise or point of view, which allows for accurate information. This was written on Sunday, October 2. This article is current and accurate information. This article have a positive affect of the audience in the way that it provokes anger and sorrow toward the situation at the school. It was written to inform the reader of this unfortunate event and embrace Jacob Hall. This article was amied toward people who are unaware of this event. It allows people to see that school shootings are still a problem and that we need to take action to eliminate this awful occurances. This relates to any school shooting, specifically, Sandy Hook elementary school shooting. This can also be connected to the Boston Massacre where unarmed colonists where shot and killed by soldiers. This is similar because in this article unarmed people were shot as well.

  1. Not only do our hearts go out to the families of those lost, but the friends, teachers, and schools. The majority of one's childhood is based upon school and to take that away and make it into something negative and frightening changes the child's view of learning and growing as a whole. I feel safe knowing that Booker T Washington has that bag check and metal detectors in the mornings and would suggest that to all schools.
