"Ok. Go for it. Go for it." -Harper Jones

Summary: Sacramento officers finally spotted a homeless man they were after since July 11th.  When they spot him, they begin to try to run him over with their patrol cars. They finally parked the car and begin to chase the the man named Mann on foot. A few moments later, gunshots were fired. Mann had been hit 14 times. His family reveled that he was suffering from mental health issues, and that he had meth in his system. The Mann family filed a lawsuit against the city and is arguing that the officer's car should be considered as a lethal weapon.

Analysis: Before this article, I already had previous knowledge about police brutality. Shooting him was one thing, but trying to run over him with your car like he is a a bug and you are the foot is another. What is wrong with the law enforcement  of America? What is encouraging them to do these inhumane things? Now a policemen's job is to protect the city and put the bad guys away. Instead, they are killing human beings that don't deserve to die. In Mann's case, rehab could've done the trick. It's just sad and frustrating.https://www.buzzfeed.com/tamerragriffin/sacramento-police-tried-to-run-over-a-homeless-man-before-fa?utm_term=.cwa7B8N3l#.gqPdaYm29

  1. I agree with you this seemed very unnecessary. I think tensions between criminals and law enforcement has gone far past acceptable.

  2. Wow this is absolutely horrible. I totally agree with your analysis what those police officers did was so uncalled and this could have been handled in a much better way!
