Mackenzie Bessner- Creepy Clown Sightings


There has been a creepy clown craze spooking the nation this past month. Reports of costumed characters sprung up like urban folklore. In South Carolina, children reported spotting multiple clowns creeping in the woods and showing them "large amounts of money." Only one death has been linked to this possible clown hoax. Sightings of these clowns have spread to multiple states including New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Schools have also been going on lock down across the country.

Specifically in some states, there has been some crazy scares. In South Carolina, a woman reported a clown staring at her outside of a laundromat. In North Carolina, four children reported a clown was  trying to lure them into the woods while offering them treats.


Before I read this article, I heard about some clown sightings in South Carolina but I thought it was just a silly joke. Now I am confident that this is some joke. This is article is scary but necessary to share with the world so people can know what is going on and they can be prepared for the worst.
