Summary: 3 days ago, a video taken back in 2005 surfaced and sent the country into an uproar. In this video, current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is seen and heard saying some of the most disrespectful and disgusting remarks about women that I've ever heard. His remarks even point out a potential reference sexual assault. Trump has received a crap ton of backlash (rightfully so) as women and other Republicans immediately withdrew their support. This article talks about the way women across the country have responded to the disparaging comments Trump made. Posters, t-shirts, and even a song have been made calling all women to "rock the vote" on November 8th. Feminists all across the nation have been standing up for women all over the internet. Analysis/Synthesis: I seriously was not surprised that yet another incident concerning Trump and women has presented itself. What he said disgusted me beyond words. The complete lack of respect and morality in what he was saying shocked me and I'm still furious about this. Women are objectified and disrespected all the time and watching this man, this disgusting horrible man make comments like that, you CANNOT IGNORE IT. HOW COULD YOU EVER LET SOMEONE LIKE THAT BE IN CHARGE OF OUR COUNTRY. What a person says and does can show a lot about their character and morals, and if that's what Donald's character is, then I hope we never call him our President. This was absolutely atrocious. GUYS PLEASE CHECK OUT THE LINK IT'S THE BEST THING EVER. This can be connected back to in 2011 when Donald received backlash for rude comments toward people which speech impediments such as stuttering.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that sexual assault allegations and video evidence of Trump degrading women have surfaced- AND PEOPLE STILL WANT HIM AS PRESIDENT is extremely alarming. Women have been disregarded and patronized since the beginning of time- and we need to be the generation to put a stop to it.

What I find extremely disappointing about this is that it was not shocking at all to hear that Trump said these repulsive and unsettling things about assaulting women. I would also like to add that it is disgusting to see trump supporters either defend this behavior or say that it is irrelevant to what he stands for. I weep for this country.
ReplyDeleteThis entire campaign has been riddled with sexism. Hillary Clinton has been questioned for everything she's done while Trump has gotten away with so many atrocious comments and actions.
