This article by the Washington Post addresses Donald Trump's stance on taxes and his use of them in his life. The article also features a video where Trump says he used the taxes for his own advantage since very few people actually understood the tax laws. Apparently, even experts can't decipher the thousand page law. The article also points out that he wants to even out tax laws to make them more fair.
I find it a little ironic that he wants to make the tax laws fairer now even though in the past, he used them to his advantage. He apparently did not pay taxes himself for 20 years or only payed the minimum. Since this post was just published today, it is very relevant to today's society and its future. This topic relates to when Alexander Hamilton, the Secretary of the Treasury, wanted to impose tax laws to pay off national debt from the Revolutionary War. A specific example is the Revenue Tariff that was made for the United States to receive money to pay back the countries that helped it.

Trump still refuses to show his tax records to the public, and this is probably one of the reasons. He contradicts himself so often and it really shows how untrustworthy he really is.
