Cat Savior - Wallis Brown

Glen Schallman, a cat owner, suffers from frequent seizures, as a result of three different brain diseases. These seizures can be extremely dangerous when he is awake, aware, and fully cognizant, but they can be deadly if they occur while he is asleep at night. This is a serious issue, which is being treated, unexpectedly, by Glen's 1-year-old cat, Blake. When Glen is sleeping in bed, his cat Blake sleeps by him, making sure he is safe. Blake has developed the extraordinary ability to predict when Glen will have a seizure in his sleep. When this occurs, Blake will bite his owner's toes in order to wake him up and keep him safe.

Seeing incredible stories where people discover the true potential of their furry friends makes me so incredibly happy. Hopefully the fact that Blake is not only a friend and companion to Glen, but also his savior and lifeguard will convince people to adopt more animals, as there are truly amazing creatures.

  2. It is amazing how animals are able to detect things about a person's health. Service animals are saving lives, and I think that the programs out there to train them are really doing something important in the world. They are silent heroes. It is truly incredible to see this cat saving lives.
