Summary: President Obama will veto a bill that will allow 9/11 victims to sue terrorists due to his opinion that the bill is not "an effective, forceful way for us to respond to terrorism." The Legislator are expected to override the veto, and if they achieve this, it would be the first time in history that Obama's veto's weren't final.
Analysis: As I read this article, I couldn't help but to think about the whole point of suing the terrorists. I agree that 9/11 was a traumatic event in American history and we lost millions of people that had families and loved ones, but I can't also stop thinking of the effects it would have on us. For example, we didn't sue the British when they killed many during the Boston Massacre. Instead, we went to war. Yes we won our Independence, but we still had so many casualties. Same thing with the Conflict in Kansas. Many loved one's were lost, but I guess when it's not one of our own killing us we are outraged. So I believe that just suing these terrorists won't do anything but cause more problems than we don't really need due to our current situation.

Hey Harper, totally agree with your analysis. I happened to do my current event over the same topic and you reached some interesting points that I hadn't thought of. I feel like the tragedy of it all gets in the way of people's mindset and they can't help but not see the whole picture.
