Josie Guthrey- Severe Flash Floods in North Korea

The "heaviest downpour" in North Korea, since 1945, has left many parts of the country destroyed. Severe flash floods have been rumored to have destroyed thousands and thousands of houses, leaving many families homeless. As many of 133 people have been killed by these horrific floods and at least 140,000 are in need of urgent assistance. 395 people have been reported missing.

There isn't much we can do. North Korea is very hostile and is not looking for help but i hope they find a way to save their residents. This is very dangerous and I pray that the populations is safe and can find refuge.

  1. I was shocked reading your post, seeing how many casualties resulted from the intense floods. I see how North Korea can be stubborn in their own ways, though I feel there might be some things we could do. For example, we could make a compromise, maybe a trade, the US's help for something in return. This way it's seen as more of a negotiation and we start to form a start of an alliance with North Korea, possibly benefiting the United States later on.
