U.S. Army Bombs ISIS' Chemical Weapons Plant:
The U.S. has recently bombarded a chemical weapons plant that is owned and created by ISIS. These weapons were found in a pharmaceutical factory located in Iraq. This point was also one of ISIS' headquarters at 50 different points. It was reported that 12 U.S. aircrafts were used to hit the facility. Air Force Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Harrigan states that ISIS had been using dangerous chemicals, in particular, chlorine and mustard gas. The U.S.' plan is to take out the chemical weapons along with the ISIS leaders with the knowledge they now have about ISIS' army strategies.
Synthesis:
I think that it was good that the U.S. army was able to find out what ISIS is using in warfare and are destroying it. In my opinion, chemical weaponry is the most inhuman way to fight a war or a battle. And I think that the sooner ISIS' supply of chlorine and mustard gas is eliminated, the less people are killed in that slow, painful way. The only thing I don't agree with about this report is that the U.S. army used 12 planes to take down one facility out of a ton. I personally think that they should have planned this plan out a bit more and possibly in the process saving some needed supplies and aircrafts. But overall, I think it was good to get rid of some of ISIS' chemical weapons and figure out some of their strategies.

I agree. Nuclear weapons are very deadly and inhumane, and the United States and other countries should have learned from World War 2 when we bombed Japan.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting and I also agree with you both on how dangerous and scary nuclear weapons are. I am also happy to hear that another step has been taken to help eliminate potential ISIS threats.
