Analyze: The authors are Catherine E. Shoichet, Mallory Simon and Tim Hume published by CNN. The authors point of view is to inform you , the audience, about what happened in New York. I first heard about this on the news and wanted to know more about it. It first reminded me of the Boston city marathon bombing after reading this article I learned more of what really happened. This made me think of the Pontiac' Rebellion in 1763. An indian uprising after the french and indian war. They opposed British expansion into the western Ohio Valley and began destroying British forts in the area.
We need to be extra vigilant in these days of terrorism. Privacy is important, but we need to prioritize our safety. Intelligence prior to the event is key. People might feel afraid to speak out about what they see because they are not sure if it is accurate, but even if most of the time what looks to be suspicious is not, one of the times is actually could be something dangerous.
