Maddie gold- Obama to veto the 9/11 victim bill

the White House unanimously passed a bill on Friday that will allow terror victims of 9/11 to sue Saudi Arabia. President Barack Obama will veto this bill because it's not an effective way of responding to terrorism. Lawmakers will also attempt to override the veto, and it will be the first time in Barack Obamas presidency if they are successful.

This current event relates back to the terrorist attack of 9/11. I believe that Barack Obama should be able to successfully veto this bill because it is a bit outrageous and isn't the way we should be responding to terrorist. I truly believe that suing Saudi Arabia will not help the families who's loved ones died in the attack.

  1. I agree. I also think this would cause a lot of unneeded drama.

  2. I agree with Maddie, I think that this bill in not needed in America. I feel like the survivors and families of 9/11 are still trying to recover from this sad event and think on the more positive side of things, even if it may be very hard for them. - Skyler Tepedino
