The U.S. Navy ends mission to find missing sailor--Samantha Arthur: 1st period

The U.S. navy forces have ended the mass search for the missing sailer that had taken up so much of naval focus. He is said to have fallen overboard from Carter Hall (a dock landing ship). The sailor was a "female third-class petty officer", but her actual identity has not been released. The ending of the search mission was officiated Tuesday.

Casualties have been a huge part of American, and even global, armed forces--whether that force is naval, and air, or land force. However so, any casualty is horrifically sad and is a loss for the nation. It's notable that the navy halted any previous missions to look for the one lost sailor. True American patriotism and nationalism can be seen through events like these, however said the end up being.

  1. That's so sad that they just stopped looking. I pray for the family. I wonder how long they were looking for her.
