"Signal the Firing Squad: Journalist Murdering Terrorist Executed" by Jack Higgins period 6

Ironically, Hassan Hanafi used to be a media reporter himself before joining al Shabaab in 2008. He was arrested in 2014 for the murder of 5 reporting journalists looking for information on the group and was just last month sentenced to death. He was bound to a pole with colorful ropes (how festive...) and had a white sheet placed over his head as cover before being shot to death by military officers in Somalia after his arrest in Kenya.

He killed five people. No pity, but it's still kind of funny to me that that particular method of execution is still used. I don't really know why it's funny to me, it just is. I know a deathcore band called Signal the Firing Squad and this article make me think about that...

  1. It is weird to think about the death sentence still being used fairly commonly in other countries. A life in prison may have been more suitable, but there is not much worse damage done than murder.

It's crazy how he killed those people with no sympathy.I think it would've been a better punishment to let him suffer in prison rather than just kill him.
