San Antonio schools fire police officer accused of body-slamming student by M'lynn Musgrove

A few months back, a video went viral on social media of a student being body slammed by a security officer at a school in San Antonio for being on their phone. After insane reaction from the public and statements from officers in charge, the man has been fired. "We understand that situations can sometimes escalate to the point of requiring a physical response; however, in this situation we believe that the extent of the response was absolutely unwarranted," said San Antonio Independent School District Superintendent Pedro Martinez."
I am really happy seeing this conclusion. If it were any other outcome, the school district would have seen a lot of retaliation. Also, this reaction could easily been credited to racial prejudices. The man should have been fired earlier. I remember seeing the video and being appalled.
