2,500 year old slab found in Italy

A 2,500 year old 500 lbs slab is discovered by archaeologist.  This gave scientist new information about the Etruscan civilization. The Etruscans have influenced many part of the Roman Empire including their religion, culture, and government. Scientist have been making advances in decoding the language of the Etruscans figuring out some of their words and how their grammar works. They hope, however that this tablet will be the key to discovering the gods and goddess worshipped, a key to their history and religion. 

In 1799 the Rosetta Stone was discovered being key to unlocking the hieroglyphics.  It was written in three different languages, Greek, Egyptian hieroglyphics, and Egyptian demotic. This solved the puzzle of a language deemed dead for 2,000 years. The discovery of the Rosetta Stone tablet and the current discovery of the new 2,500 year old slab relate to each other in history both providing a key to unlocking hidden history. As proved by these two discoveries scientist today, rely on information from the past to learn about how our cultures and languages came to be today. This information is key in studying the formation of America and the World as we know it today.
