On Friday April 15th, 2016, a baby was rescued from the rubble of the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan's Kyushu Island. The 8-month old baby girl as trapped under a collapsed house for six hours before she was pulled from the wreckage. It took a crew of 50 people to complete this rescue. Hidenori Walanabe, a Kumamoto Higashi Fire Department spokesman, says that, "It was a miracle she was unharmed." This earthquake on Thursday night has resulted in at least nine casualties. Earthquakes have caused havoc on human societies throughout history. Although this unfortunate event caused widespread distress, every saved life is a blessing.
This honestly is a miracle, just like the fire department spokesman said. 8 month olds are incredibly fragile. She must be a very strong and brave baby.
