Scientists in the UK can now genetically modify human embryos - Matthew Taylor

So there's still some things we can learn from our early stages, such as how we go from 1 to 250 cells in 7 days. For the first time in British history, scientists can play around with human embryos, although it's still highly illegal to implant them in females. By the end of the century, this research could lead to the basic tools for creating "designer babies," which are still in that ethical gray zone.
(US scientists are banned from this stuff for now.)

Allow me to synthesize to 84 years from now when clones rule the Earth.

  1. I think it's impressive how far science has come, but the ethics of it are indeed a little shady.

  2. Very impressive. However I think the most shocking is what the human body can do all on it's own! Pretty amazing nonetheless.

  3. This is amazing, I never thought I would live to see the day when movies become a reality. This does seem to become more and more inhumane as you look at it
