Friday afternoon, pedestrians strolling down the Golden Gate Bridge were struck by darts fired from a blowgun. The five inch long darts that had been sharpened on one end are being tested to see if they were coated in chemicals or could cause any additional unknown harm to the victims. Highway Patrol spokesman Andrew Barclay claims he'd never heard of anything this peculiar, and investigators are working on finding any footage or witnesses that could help the case.
Analysis:
I thought it was weird that a blowgun was used for an attack, but not a serious enough attack that there have been any serious casualties. It makes you think what an attacker could possibly hope to get out of something like this; It almost seems like a simple prank. The report also said nothing about a specific target, so it seems fairly random. Until test results come back about the dangerousness of the darts, I suppose all we can do is be thankful no one was seriously injured.
